Yahoo! Search. As good as Google these days?

Saturday, January 24th, 2009

Is it just me, or is Yahoo! search as good as GoogleMeister MeisterGoogle these days?
I’ve defaulted to Google for a long time, but lately I don’t like how “big” they’ve gotten and I think it is wise to spread my searches around.  At any rate, up until 6 mos. ago I never felt Y! was [...]

News Flash: Snow in NC! Shut down the State!

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

I love it!  We’ve gotten at least 2″ of snow here in Raleigh and the whole area is shutdown!  Wimps!  Schools, businesses, practically everyone is shutdown!
Of course, in their defense, the area is ill-equipped to deal with even the smallest amount of snow, since they don’t have the plows to manage the snow.  Not to [...]

Obama picks former Clinton aide Panetta for CIA – Yahoo! News
So much for “Change you can believe in”.  More like “Retreads R Us”.
Seriously, how can you expect to affect change in Washington when all your doing is bringing back Washington insiders like Hillary, Panetta, Richardson (since withdrawn, I know), etc.  That isn’t change.  It’s more [...]

iPod Touch Review

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

Santa was nice this year and I got an iPod Touch 2G.  Pretty sweet device.  No more lugging the laptop on family trips, I don’t think, since it has pretty much everything I need for those kind of trips:

Music
Videos
Games
Google Maps
Email
Internet
SSH

Naturally, it’s been said before, but it truly is a game changing device in my opinion.  [...]
