Logging Frameworks Considered Harmful

I’ve had it with logging frameworks.  Damn.  What started out as a good thing (log4j) has turned into this awful nightmare of configuration, classloading, religious wars, etc. all over something as stupid as printing out some stupid statement that most developers don’t even know how to make say something useful.

Seriously, SLF4j, Log4j, Java Util Logging, Commons logging, etc., etc.  You can all go f’ yourself.

Seriously, once you get into open source, all of a sudden every project has it’s own framework it uses.  Trying to bring them all together to print intelligent stuff into a single log is a recipe for madness (hence my rant!)
